Master-Plate®, type PFR & PFRY
The cable tie bonding fastener, Master-Plate® type PFR and PFRY, are the solutions that can be blindly attached to any glue-on material using the appropriate adhesive.
Description
The bonding cable tie fastener exists in 3 versions, first of all the perforated type PFR08, and the non-perforated base plate model PFRY08 made of stainless steel 316 with a size of 25 mm to 32 mm. On the 2 folded wings there are openings through which the plastic cable ties fit and thus all cables can be clamped.
By pushing the closed MasterPlate® plate on the applied glue, the glue will be spread nicely and create a solid connection which provides extra shear force.

How strong is the bond?
Strength depends on the adhesive, the substrate, surface preparation, and bonding area. Correct surface prep is essential and testing is advized. The factory can test if samples are provided in Italy.

With the right adhesive applied in the rigth circumstances, bonded fasteners can perform well under vibration loads.
What materials can they be bonded to?
They are typically used on composites, plastics, metal panels, honeycomb structures, carbon fiber, and thin sheet materials.
Which adhesives are recommended?
Usually structural adhesives like epoxy, methacrylate or polyurethane. Give us more info about the application and in cooperation with a adhesive manufacturer, we can provide specific adhesive guidelines.
