Description
The Crown-Nut® type ITT2T is a high-performance press-in insert designed for steel or aluminium tubes and profiles with internal diameters from 14.8 mm up to 58.0 mm.
This zinc-plated nut features flexible cylindrical metal crowns that expand within the tube, creating a secure internal thread without welding or adhesives. Ideal for applications where the insert must withstand both thrust and traction forces, such as adjustable feet or structural supports. We strongly advise you to screw a hexagonal nut on the outerthread of the feet or wheel in order to put the press forces on not only the internal thread of the Crown-Nut!

Available thread sizes: M8 and M10.

Installation Instructions

Prepare the punch according to the Crown-Nut model and required installation depth (see last page of the technical drawing).
Ensure the receiving tube is firmly anchored.
Insert the Crown-Nut into the punch, with the crowns facing the correct direction (bent towards the punch) as shown.
Position the punch-insert assembly onto the tube’s head. It is critical that the tube end is uniform and cleanly cut — any cutting defects or non-perpendicular ends may compromise fit and function.
Apply steadily increasing pressure until the install is complete.
Remove the punch and confirm correct seating of the insert.
