Press-in insert, type Mubux® 850 and 852
Press-in insert, type Mubux-A without collar and type Mubux-AK with flat collar features multiple helical knurled rings, a tapered anchoring profile, and a pilot end for easy press-in installation.
Description
This press-fit or cold-pressed insert of the Mubux-AK (852) type with collar and Mubux-AK (852) type without collar ensures an internal thread in applications that do not require very high pull-out strength, except when the version with collar is used in a through-hole and fastened from the opposite side of the mounting face. Ideal for thermosets, composites, and HPL. It can also be used for lighter applications in thermoplastic materials.
The diagonal external grooves run in the same direction and, during press-fitting (do not hammer!), will make a half-turn and anchor themselves securely.
The pilot end facilitates positioning of the insert into the prepared hole.
The advantage of the Mubux® insert is that the internal thread offers no additional resistance after installation and thus remains completely free, which ensures smooth screw assembly.
Available from M2 up to M10 internal thread.
