New quick-screw Rampa threaded wood insert, type SKD330 with inner hexagon and sealing collar, wich also serves as automatic stop when mounting. No need for special tooling.
Description
NEW Rampa wood insert, type SKD330 with the patented speed-up outerthread and an un-threaded lead at the beginning that supports an easy assembly without tilting. The special outerthread also results in a tilt-protection because when placing the insert in the drilled hole, it automatically rests on the beginning of the 3-way start of the outerthread.
This new model has a 100% quality control of all it's functional dimensions; length, innerthread and outerthread.
This Rampa insert is available from M4 up to M8 and works for the widest range of substrates, such as wood, plastics and even lead.
Available in steel zinc plating.

Primarily wood (solid, plywood, particle board, MDF), plastics (ABS, PA, POM, composites), and light metals when the insert with the right geometry is choosen accordingly.
What should I take into account when using an internal hex screw-in insert?
Be aware that the inner hexagon, although very practical for installation, does reduce the effective length of the internal thread. With short types or inserts made of zamak, this may result in a less wear-resistant or less strong metal threaded connection.
